Golf lessons with Sean Connery? No thanks!
By Posted 26th April 2011
With the release of Sir Michael Caine’s autobiography, we learnt that he has been put off golf for life after Sir Sean Connery released his fiery temper again. The former bond star has changed Caine’s mind forever when it comes to golf.
Speaking about how Connery flew into a fiery rage Caine says: “Sean has a terrible temper and when he tried to teach me golf he was so incensed by my performance that he grabbed my club and broke it in two, I have never played golf since.”
Just picture it, a nice serene, picturesque golf course, two Sirs taking part in a golf lesson, one Hollywood great, teaching the other Hollywood great how to play golf. Then the next minute one of them flies into a huge rage and snaps the others golf club! The last two Hollywood greats you would expect this to be are Sir Sean Connery and Sir Michael Caine.
I think if you had an ex James Bond actor snapping your club in half, you’d end your golfing career there and then, with that image in your head. Recently Sir Sean Connery has revealed that he is set to retire from Hollywood, after just turning 80, who can blame him?
Maybe he’ll begin to pursue a career in golf, well if his last outing was anything to go by he’d be one to watch out for on the course that’s for sure!
